Welcome to Lilbourne Windfarm
The original scheme of 12 wind turbines on a site located to the East of the M1 motorway, on the otherside of the M1 from Lilbourne Village, South of the planned A14/M1 interchange, was proposed at public exhibitons in August 2008. Following further consultation the proposal has now been reduced from 8 turbines to 6 with the removal of the most Northern and Southern turbines. Click here to see the revised Non Technical Summary as part of the further information submitted to Daventry District Council. You can view the full planning application on Daventry District Council's website.
The wind turbines being proposed are 2 MWe rating which could power up to 6,000 homes. The hub heights are approximately 80m and the rotor diameters will be 90m.
Community Engagement
We would like to engage in discussion at Parish levels to explore potential community benefits and concerns. Apart from the opportunities for jobs during construction, other ideas have been put forward to us and we would be happy to discuss these at greater length. Please go to Planning Process for more information.
Please register and complete our questionnaire to let us know your views. You can also sign up to receive email updates about the project.
