Community Benefits

In addition to providing clean, safe energy from renewable sources; the wind farm could also bring a number of benefits to the local community.

Apart from the opportunities for jobs during construction, other ideas which have put forward to us at this stage include:

• Parish street lighting
• Community bus sponsorship
• Park landscaping
• Village play areas
• Primary school teacher sponsorship in environmental science

There will also be an opportunity for members of the local community invest in up to two of the turbines, with priority given to those living within a 10KM radius of the site.
